HOW TO MAKE FLOATING ORNAMENTS

If you’d rather watch a video on how to make it step by step, take a look at this video here (highly recommended!):

STEP 1: UPLOAD FILES

Upload the free SVG template into Cricut Design Space.

Also upload an image you’d like to use for your floating ornament. Make sure you select Print then Cut.

STEP 2: DESIGN

Change the template layer’s linetype from “cut” to “draw”. This creates an outline that we can use to resize our photo.

Once you are happy with how your photo looks in the frame, slice both layers.

Delete the layers that aren’t being used (photo parts outside of the template).

STEP 3: CUT IT OUT

Follow the instructions on your machine to print then cut the image.

Print it on transparency film on the “rough” side.

I also tape down the transparency film to a white sheet of paper before I go to make my cut.

STEP 4: ASSEMBLE ORNAMENT

Assembling this ornament is easy! Just roll up the transparency film and put it in the ornament.

CONGRATULATIONS
